JAKTOOL is located in Cranbury, New Jersey and currently has over 25 employees composed of craftsmen, engineers and project managers. According to their website they have “grown over 20 years into one of the Northeast’s premier product development, engineering, and precision prototyping companies on the merits of our passion, talent, and dedication.” JAKTOOL was registered as an LLC in 2004, but began 10 years prior, founded by Jeff Kinsberg (Founder and COO) as an outlet for his interests in model making and manufacturing. These interests led him to pursue Mechanical engineering in college and laid the foundation for the services that JAKTOOL offers today. What started in a garage as a passion by one individual is now operating in a 10,000 square foot building with plans to continue growth in the years to come.
JAKTOOL first began exploring EOS in the Spring of 2021. President and CEO, Cristy Richards, participated in WeIGNITE through WBENC, where she heard from several different EOS Implementers about how to apply EOS within a company. Cristy recalls how the speakers discussed EOS tools. Each time one was mentioned, it resonated with where JAKTOOL was at the time and the needs they had within the company. As other companies saw a decline during Covid, JAKTOOL continued to grow. With this growth came the need to reevaluate goals and give the entire team a long-term vision and clear purpose for where the company was going.
JAKTOOL began working with Marc in October 2021. They enjoy working with Marc because he is able to provide the “why” behind everything he shares with them. During their sessions, Marc quickly developed rapport with the team by mentoring and being an objective guide. Cristy stated, “Marc has gone through the challenges himself which allows the team to trust what he says. He helps us engage in the hard conversations.” Since implementing EOS, JAKTOOL has established clear core values and accountabilities. The team emphasizes open and honest communication.
